Late Night Posting...

Wow, my eyes are practically shutting and here I am, posting for day #5 of raw. I am feeling ok. The rest of the family, including the wee one, are coming down with the sniffles and coughs. I am doing alright so far, except little girl wants to nurse all the time for comfort and that is totally wearing me out. I feel like I am eating everything in sight, too.

Is it possible to gain weight on this diet, especially in the beginning? I ask because my scale has yet to budge and it is terribly depressing to me, even though I know I shouldn't care one lick about that dumb thing.

I just hope to see some more dramatic results of this lifestyle, especially when it is winter and all those comfort foods are beckoning me...

How long does it take for cravings of cooked foods to go AWAY?? I am tired of staring at the peanut butter container wistfully.

Also, if you have candida troubles, is it better to eat less fruit?

I know all you wonderful people will have the answers for me.

Right now, in the dehydrator, there are a couple "easy" pizza crusts from Alissa's book. I am looking forward to some raw pizza tomorrow, as eating all these "orange" foods are getting to be quite boring. I think a nice, huge salad with tahini dressing and a couple slices of raw pizza will be lovely tomorrow. Ok, now I am starting to look forward to the next day.

And with that, good night all. Sweet dreams.

I hope your family starts feeling better soon. The CF cravings take different amounts of time for different people to go away. I understand about the peanut butter. Have you tried RAW almond butter with Raw Honey or Raw Agave? Or Raw cashew butter?? RAW soups warmed up in your blender are wonderful comfort foods as well. HUGS&PEACE Carrassa
