StarFire reflections
Star's latest blog entry prompts me to share this Jungian quote I saw in a Yoga Journal ad last night:
"I am not what happened to me. I am what I choose to become."
He doesn't say "I am what I choose to be"--like it's all here in this moment. Rather it's about becoming--unfolding--giving birth. Hence my ref to Star's blog today (thanx, Star!).
Also in the current issue of Yoga Journal, I highly recommend the helpful advice column about letting go of past and/or toxic relationships. There was a thread about that about 10 days ago, and the column addressed the issue very well.
This year, with God's grace, I will address my very toxic relationship to toxic food. This year, God willing, I will put an end to addictive (i.e., self-destructive) behaviors. Can I get an "amen"?
