They came early in the morning, driving through 2 inches of snow and blizzard conditions....

To bring me...

my Magic Box !!! the excalibur is here )

So I was beyond excited -- so much so, that I didnt get any chores done, and spent most of the afternoon chopping and marinating things for recipes to make in the next 24 hrs.

Still on the soup challenge, but planning on adding some dehydrator recipes as well.

Picked up the e-book that Karen Knowler has on planning raw meals-- it is really really good! I will work on creating my weekly menu tomorrow, then organizin my fridge and kitchen to accomodate my weekly options.

Whats in the box:
- spicy fries --
- sweet potato chips

planning on staying up a little late tonite to clean up my bedroom and check on the chips and fries..

In the meantime, today's goodies were a little sparse ( my period is here and hubby's car is stuck in 4 inches of snow in front of the neighbors driveway!)

am:
a basic chocolate smoothie, this time with 2 tbs cacao nibs, 1 tbs carob, some agave, 1 tbs almond butter, banana, and some almond milk. It tasted to me like melted chocolate ice cream, but hubby didnt like the cacao nibs. They tasted bitter to him.

So I made him one with just "cocoa powder" and the same ingredients, with a little vanilla, and he thought it was just divine.

Had some banana chips and date nut torte to snack on.. and some oranges, green grapes and a pear.

That was it for today. Feeling good about my transformation now that I have the magic box! No more excuses!!

I want to make carrot pecan burgers tomorrow.... so I hope the chips will be ready in the morn.

In the meantime, I'm off to take a shower and clean up my house. "magic" is in the basement, so hubby wont ask me about that strange sound.. I can smell the chips and fries as I type (dusted nutritional yeast on sweet potato chips, and they taste like carrots to me now!! how weird is that?)

Im so excited! BUT I gotta go get school stuff done! Ive been copying recipes down for about an hour, and watching DVD 2 on Alissa's LOLF to see what side of the tray you put the liner and sheet on.. I got some disposable parchment paper sheets, so I plan on using that for future "enchiladas"!!!! HUbby would absolutely love that!

Shoudl I trim the screen thingie that goes on the tray? It doesnt seem to fit snugly into the edging... Kinda is bothering me, since everything slides around more than I would like..

See you guys -- gotta clean house a little bit!!

RAWk and roll with whatever is coming your way!

My screens fit within the black trays - but they are not snug and they do slide a bit. If it's WITHIN the black trays then I'm sure they're fine -- but if they don't fit and are sticking above the black tray - I would trim them SLIGHTLY... soooo happy for you ! you're gunna have so much fun!!
