What is WRONG with me at the moment?
Its probably the cold weather, but I find myself wanting to eat cooked, which I never have since going raw.
Here's the worst part - I cave to it! I stay vegan, sugar free and whatnot but recently bread has really got me down!
I had my apple-walnut stuff for breakfast which was surprisingly yum, and raw soup all day, then when I got home there was nothing in the fridge (I know, bad excuse) and I couldn't manage a salad, so I had.... baked beans on toast!!
Its not as bad as it sounds, as our english baked beans aren't the same as american ones and I made them myself. It was canned haricot beans, canned tomatoes and some seasonings...on wholemeal toast. I need to get back on track!!
I'm also feeling really blobby and fat at the moment. I can't weigh myself any more (ED stuff) but my clothes are feeling a bit tighter. I got some 26 waist jeans and I've now got a bit of flab hanging over the top. Eurgh. I need to get back in shape, start exercising and watching my food more. I know I'm not overweight, but I feel so yuck.
From my experience my biggest problems are sugars, fats are less of a problem when it comes to me gaining weight. I need to cut back on the dried fruit and the COOKED FOOD!
Things I need to stop or cut down on:
+maple syrup, don't use a tonne but I should use more agave instead
+raw honey from the jar
+dried fruit + nut combos, like raw brownies
+anything cooked, especially bread and peanut butter!
That's it really, the things that get me!
How can I overcome them...
+replace dried fruit with fresh fruit, always! Or if I must, go for low gi/high fibre ones like prunes and apricots.
+sweeten stuff less, always using agave or fruit not maple syrup
+don't buy more raw honey! I ran out the other day so this should be ok.
+don't have money with me so I can't buy larabars!
+don't make raw brownies...simple enough
+again, don't have money with me so I can't buy dried pineapple!
+make sure I always have something raw available so I don't eat cooked.
+stop going for coffee with people, go for juice instead...
Sorted...if only it was that simple!
