i am having somuch trouble because i can not give up my mocha from the raw deal ( the coffee shop i go to) I wish this transition was so much more easy!!!!! Its so hard to do this in college right now, i really want to stick with it but there are so many bad yet yummy things on campus. I really need a helping hand and some tips!

    do a search for the recipe 'best coffee ever' on this site, a raw delite that will make you forget the coffee shop. and welcome!!! :) -snow

    Do you have to go to the coffee shop? Do you work there part time or something? Have you ever heard of teecino? My dh used 1/2 teecino and 1/2 coffee to wean himself off. He's been coffee free since Sept. ( :

    green tea works wonders as well. Take it from a caffiene/coffee lover, it ain't easy but it can be done. The best way to kick it is make sure you're nourishing yourself with fresh organic fruits/veggies a lotsa purified water. Soon you will be feeling so high on the raw, you'll forget all about coffee and sugary delights.

    omg! I just gave up a CRAZY coffee addiction (3 hours sleep/night, running on 8+ cups of coffee/day, worked at a coffee shop for 4 years, etc...). I just gave it up 5 days ago.... if I can, you can!! Make it easier on yourself, switching to black tea, then yerba mate, then green, then finally white. This really works! :) Oh yeah, and drink LOTS of water :)

    recipe is by ... RAW VEGAN MOM – BEST COFFEE EVER! do a search on this site - here's the ingredients!

    Ingredients:
    Cacao powder,
    Fo-Ti (Ho Shou Wu),
    Maca,
    Lucuma,
    Yacon,
    Agave,
    Vanilla bean,
    Nutmeg,
    Cashews,
    Ice ,
    Water,

    Try to contain your exitement ~ Grab your blender and add:
    a scoop of cacao powder,
    add a few capsules of Fo-Ti, minus the capsules!
    a scoop of maca,
    a tbsp of lucuma,
    a squirt of yacon,
    a squirt of agave,
    1/4 inch vanilla bean,
    dash of nutmeg,
    handful of cashews,
    cup of ice,
    cup or so of water ... THEN ...

    Chocolate sauce for lining the glass and topping the drink:
    cacao and a capsule of ho shou wu & a dash of sea salt mixed with agave.
