Day One

Rate this Entry
Today was an interesting day.

I woke up with a great attitude. I was excited to try some new things that I had bought. I had a banana, some cashews and raisins for breakfast. I love how quick and easy preparation for that was! I was full, felt good. I missed my morning coffee, but tried to keep myself busy so I wouldn't think about it. I even made my kids eggs for breakfast and didn't want any.

My daughter tried a lot of different nuts today & we discovered that she loves cashews and almonds! She had a banana for breakfast, too. She's so adventurous and loves to try the different foods that I'm eating. She's going to be the easiest to convert. ;)

I tried a salad that my sister suggested for lunch with mushrooms and tomatoes, but it was a little too oily. I was excited to try my new magic bullet, so I made a smoothie out of a banana & a bunch of berries. It was tasty & made up for the salad that I didn't enjoy.

I got a headache mid-afternoon & was super grumpy. The boys went out to play, and I took a nap with my daughter. I woke up much happier and had some dehydrated bananas. WHAT A TREAT! Those are delicious - they will quickly become my sweet fix.

I put dinner in the oven for the family, and I'm going to start mixing up my stuff. It is a little odd cooking something different for them, but I think I'll be okay with it when we sit down to eat. As long as my dinner looks better than theirs, I should be good to go. I hate to have dinner envy, so I need to make these collard green rolls look like the best thing I've ever eaten!

You go girl!! Sounds like you are off to a great start. Sorry you didn't like the salad - maybe next time make it with less oil? It is my all time favorite salad and I just can't imagine you not liking it. :)
