Went for an hour long bike ride this morning and have been 100% raw all day!! With no negative side effects or negative feelings. I have eaten cucumbers, avacado, melon and all kinds of yummy things!!!
I honestly believe I may be the luckiest woman on the earth. Alright, that may be a bit of an overstatement, but I am at least one of the lucky ones.
I mentioned in a previous blog that I am a teacher. So, today in class I did something daring. Students are always asking me why I drink so much water, what the green stuff I drink is and more recently why I carry SOOOOOO many Tupperware containers full of food to work everyday? So, today I decided that if someone mentioned my water or food I was going to tell them about my 31 day challenge….even if I thought they would laugh. (I teach at a college, so the “kids” are actually adults;) , and I teach upper level classes so we are talking about 19-22year olds)
I ended up announcing the 31 day challenge to both of my classes today and it was AMAZING the response I received. They were all totally excited for me and the rest of the day many kept dropping in to see what I was eating and to cheer me on What an amazing sense of community, when my own students are my Raw cheerleaders!! Admittedly, I know some of them think I am a freak and see it as some sort of experiment, and may even hope I fail, but none the less, it is motivating to know that I now have about 60 people “watching” out for me this month!! I even had students ask me more about Raw Food in general. Which was AWESOME!!!
I guess I never knew what an impact my life choices made on them….and that they would be interested in something simply because they respect my choices. It was quite an humbling yet invigorating feeling!!
At least now I feel like I can’t fail…..
