title
days 4,5,and 6
This is the first time in the past 3 days that I have had access to a computer. I can't remember the specifics of what I ate each day, but the most important thing is that I stayed raw. I've been so busy lately that I haven't had time to make the raw recipes that I've wanted, so I've been eating simple foods in their whole state - ie not much raw gourmet, except for raw crackers - which come in handy when I need a salty, crunchy treat.
Tonight, I was was legitimately hungry and was tired of the same foods I've been eating for the past 3 days, so I quickly made one of the pates from Alissa's book. I can't remember the name but it was great and allowed me to get past my thoughts of cheating.
The last time I tried going raw a few months ago, I overdosed on dates. I would eat them constantly and make recipes with dates. Now, I'm completely turned off by dates. I have zero interest in eating them or using them in recipes. In a way, I'm glad because I prefer to eat non-dried fruits.
I need to get in the groove of green smoothies. The last time I went raw, I made a green smoothie every day. Again, like with the dates, now I have no interest. I think another reason could be the fresh fruit. I made lots of green smoothies last spring/early summer and used fresh strawberries and peaches and they were yummy. I try not to use frozen fruit, and now the plentiful fruits are apples, apples and more apples, which is great, but not so great in a GS.
Today my husband made the comment: "I like it when you're on your raw thing". When I asked him why, he said that I seem happier (which I do). I think also he likes it because I did'nt eat his bag of chocolate.:)
