I never realized how much of an emotional eater I was untill I started going raw. The nightly after-dinner cravings are purely emotional. I just want to EAT! I need to recognize these when they occur, and overcome the temptation. I was craving something sweet, and had a tablespoon of raw honey. It was perfect! I had actually had the honey in the cupbord for awhile, and sort of forgot about it until now!
Foods today so far:
-smoothie: 2 cups chard, peach, banana, 2 tbsp flax seed
-2 cups cherry tomatoes
-smoothie: 1 cup spinach, 2 cups lentil sprouts, 2 pears, banana
-1/2 cup walnuts
My lentil sprout/spinach smoothie?!? It was great! I put 2 pears and a banana with it, and that made it taste so sweet. Next time I'm just going to do 1 pear and a banana. Now I'm even more excited about sprouts because I have a tasty way to eat them!
I'm really gassy...Either the cherry tomatoes or the walnuts have been upsetting my stomach the past two days. I'm going to stay away from toamtoes next week and test it out. Or maybe it's the smoothies, which don't really follow the food combining "rules".
Never underestimate the power of time. I've been clogging my body for over 22 years. It's not going to be able to clean up overnight. It's going to take months, even years of eating raw for me to fully experience all the benefits. I'm very happy with the benefits and changes that I've seen so far, and I'm very excited to see what the next few months will have in store for me!
