Whoa...I am really BEAT this morning! I know it's cuz I just started my period, but MAN! I feel like crap!
Ok, so, my body was telling me that 1.5 days on the cleanse was enough for this round. So, Friday late afternoon I broke it with a plum...then a wonderful mug full of fresh vegetable juice - it had 4 roma tomatoes, part of a beet, 2 stalks of celery, 2 carrots, a handful of spinach and a slice of onion. Then I added a splash of tobasco and a little garlic salt. Yummy! Later on I had two bowls of corn chowder which totally bloated me out! Sipped a glass of red wine. Ate two dates before bed.
Yesterday was a good day, but I was ravenous! I ate:
mug of green smoothie- cup of orange juice, handful of spinach, frozen peach slices and a banana. Splash of vanilla and some agave.
Then my lovely daughter-in-law stopped by and wanted to know if I wanted to walking with her along the river, which I did! It was FABULOUS! We had a nice stretching session afterwards on the golf course grass, which was beautiful!
Came home to have a bowl of my favorite breakfast "cereal" -
1 apple - shredded
1 banana - diced
Handful of almonds - finely chopped
Splash of vanilla
Sprinkle of salt
Drizzle of agave
That carried me through till later afternoon, and I felt fantastic! Then for a late lunch I had:
Plate of lightly steamed vegies (I know, I know...)
snow pea pods, mushrooms, bell peppers, baby corn, broccoli with a tad of butter and salt. Even though it wasn't quite "raw" it tasted delish and felt good in my body.
Dinner was a "taco" salad made from mixed wild greens topped with about 1/3 cup walnut "taco meat", fresh salsa and sliced black olives.
I had 2 small glasses of red wine with dinner.
Late night snack was some "chocolate" pudding made from avocados, carob powder, dates, agave & vanilla.
WOW! I ate a LOT yesterday!
This morning I started with what was left of the chocolate pudding...even though I REALLY wanted to start with a green smoothie! I left the pudding in the blender container in the fridge so that I could blend it quickly again before eating it cold. So, that was ok, but now I am going to have my green smoothie!
KIKA!!!!! It's AWESOME to be back and to see you again! Silly woman! I sent you email AGES ago and never heard back from you! Ya, my break from raw...well, I never really took a "break", just "supplemented my raw foods with processed, junk food ....like real chocolate cake and real spaghetti and such once in a while! Ha! Made me feel lousey , so here I am again! Thanks for your warm welcome! BIG HUGS!!!
