Patience
Today was an interesting day. I had an all day mentoring workshop from 9-3 and didn't really plan ahead for food. (Still pretty new at this) On my way there I swung by Wild Oats and picked up an apple, ginger, carrot juice and an ounce of wheatgrass juice. When I got to the meeting they had the usual spread of bagels, cream cheese, donuts, and fortunately fresh fruit. I had watermelon, blueberries, pineapple and cantelope. YUM. Needless to say, I was feeling very proud of myself.
Then lunchtime came......I was feeling a little shaky (hypoglycemic, probably needed some protein with all that fruit and juice). We were served turkey, cheese, tomato, and lettuce sandwiches with a broccoli salad. The salad would have been fine except for the unknown dressing it was drowned in. I went ahead and ate half the sandwich and some of the salad...about 45 minutes later...I had to excuse myself and throw up! Why is this still happening to me?
I went home and took a short nap while my 2 year old was still napping and hubby was watching golf or football or both. I fixed them dinner and made myself what I call the kitchen sink juice. Apple, ginger, carrot, red pepper, celery, beet and parsley. Gabriella drank quite a bit of it too.
After I put her to bed I went grocery shopping at Super Target and got a hot tea from Starbucks...I suppose that isn't raw is it? Then I went to Wild Oats and bought some raw honey and raw almond butter. I ate 2 TBSP of the almond butter when I got home.
Starfire suggested doing the 30 day Raw Challenge and I am thinking about jumping in 100%. I still feel a little overwhelmed about getting enough balanced nutrition (not overdoing the sugar in fruit etc), and not knowing enough...but I think I know enough to give it a shot. At this point I am willing to try it just to see if it can make me feel better.
Still waiting to hear back from the doctor about some lab work. Could really use a massage!
