day 15. mmm chocolate

Rate this Entry
2 GS this morning with loads of spinach, bean sprouts and a banana, some strawberries and water of course.

apple with some almond butter to dip it in.

guacamole with 1/4 cucumber to dip in and 2 pieces of green cabbage to scoop onto. mmm hmm.

AND NOW!!! as i lick my fingers...i finally threw a slew of cacao nibs in the FP with a heap of coconut oil, some coconut flakes, tiny bit of agave, 2 dates, macadamia nuts and a splash of almond butter. whipped that up for a long time and MANNNN oh man! what a great concoction. i am not sure if i invented this, but it is good. i poured it into a container and sprinkled some more coconut flakes on top. it's in the freezer now. i am hoping it firms up...mmmm.

i licked the FP clean, luckily i wasn't dumb enough to lick the blades. haha. but it was sooo warm from spinning around too...so creamy.

mmm. i haven't had chocolate in weeks. can you tell?!!? haha.

i bet it would taste good drizzled all over everything. like that movie Chocolat.

Thank you David Wolfe. (i listened to his interview today with revvell and i have this whole container full of the cacao nibs, but didn't know what to do with them. mmm):)

*i should probably add that once i finish up the cacao i bought i probably will not buy more. i can totally see myself getting addicted to this stuff.

**actually i probably won't finish it up. i started thinking about why i was so itchy last night and i had taken a small bit of nibs in a few bites with a couple nuts.

Chocolate and cacao are outright health hazards due to the chemicals, contaminants, and additives they contain. The chemicals within chocolate are called methylxanthines. They can be further classified as theobromine, caffeine, and theophylline, all of which have deleterious effects on the body. Theobromine is known to cause a host of symptoms including abnormal glandular growth, nervousness, depression, anxiety, insomnia, gastrointestinal problems, and itching. Caffeine is highly suspected of being a carcinogen, and is directly linked to heart and circulatory problems, glandular difficulties, nervous disorders, osteoporosis, birthing abnormalities, and so forth. Theophylline causes stomach problems, nausea, vomiting, and nervous disorders.

SO MANY conflicting statements out there. it's tiring. i guess i'll just stick to regular whole foods and file chocolate away in my memories. *sigh*
