Omg it's been a week! - review

Time flies when you're having fun!

To start with what I'll call my 'weekly review', I'll say how I feel right now:

I'm having issues with bloat and feeling very full after eating meals that are way lighter than the stuff I'd eat cooked. I eat until I feel like I'm satisfied, unless something is too scrumptious or special I tend not ot overeat at all.

I'm hoping this will pass over time.

In the beginning I'd settle my sweet cravings with nut and date based sweets. These were delicious but generally overkill. They are so much more filling and dense than a regular pastry or sweet cooked thing with sugar. I'm considering alternatives for sweet cravings.

That beng said, I've had emotional detox and the weirdest thoughts and feelings especially if I've stretched bed time. Last night for example, I stayed up way too long and that's when my mind tends to get interesting but I was feeling awful full and bloated and couldn't just get to sleep. While I layed and rested all kinds of things came up like the sudden realization that my diet is weird. Things like "omg I'll eat like this from now on", and thinking of my husband who's really not interested or the kind of guy who would go for this, so I felt a sting thinking this would set us apart in a way.

The overall change of it just became a sudden shock. I'm guessing this comes to everyone at some point.

In the morning I thought it was a silly moment of fear and although it was, it still happened so in a certain level I needed to aknowledge those things.

The positive changes so far have been alot more energy, vitality and enthusiasm. I can't say there have been any physical changes aside from my torso looking a few months pregnant. I'm also feeling so energetic I started excersicing for fun. I feel better sustained as far as blood sugar goes, my moods and mental state are improving quite alot also.

I've to wait a month for my first raw period, that should be interesting as I have to always take painkillers because the cramps are so bad.

When coming up with what to eat, I'm having no problems so far. I've managed to make delicious sushi, stir fry, meatloaf, pasta with alfredo or marinara sauce, and still coming up with new stuff which really isn't so dificult. Sweets have been mostly nut and date based but I'm considering alternatives like using dehydrated coarse sprout flours as the main base for crusts instead of nuts.

It's a fun challenge to translate cooked into raw.

And as for candida, I don't think I can eat mushrooms. I had 3 in my stir fry the other day, I never eat them because it was said they are bad for candida but decided to give it a try, and that day I had a flare up, so I'll stay away from them for now.

Try sprouted buckwheat instead of nuts for crust... I made some bread today that was really really good - no nuts involved. Buckwheat, oats, salt, agave and 1 banana. Yum. You are rawkin'!

    That's a great idea, thanks! I will give it a try :)
