September 6: What a Day!

Rate this Entry
Wowza. I'm too tired to write much tonight. I took the boys for pictures, ran errands, did some work, and then left with DH for a parent orientation at DS1's new preschool. He starts preschool on Monday! I am so excited for him. Totally sad for me, but very excited for him. He's going to love it!!

Anyway, food today was terrible. No raw options to be had anywhere. I still stayed 100%, though. Unfortunately, today for the first time since being raw my stomach really hurt. It's hurting right now, and I just had a small bowl of almonds. I really think that nuts--at least plain and on an empty stomach--are just a no-no for me until my stomach heals.

OK. I'm exhausted and off to have a slice of key lime pie.

Foods eaten:
Small salad
Diet coke (had this at lunch with a GF while our kids ate. There was not one raw thing to be had. I needed the caffeine to suppress my appetite until I got home. It worked, at least.)
handful of raw almonds
might have a slice of pie.

If you're still drinking Coke, how do you expect your stomach to heal? just wondering - i know coke is addictive! I am personally not addicted to it - but my friend is so sooo healthy - almost raw. but she always has to have her coke heh

I actually haven't had diet coke in since my endoscopy in July. Like I mentioned in my post, there was nothing raw to eat--including water. So, rather than have something cooked to eat, which I think would make me crave more cooked foods, I decided to drink something that would at least get me by until I could get home (4 hours later). I don't expect my stomach to heal drinking diet coke. That would be stupid, which is why I don't do it. This was an exception.

Nuts on an empty stomach hurt me too. I had all kinds of stomach problems. Raw helped heal mine. Green smoothies too. Hope you feel better soon. Sometimes things are out of our control. Just start over.:)
