travelling raw?

Rate this Entry
I sit here with my green smoothie (late)....a couple of almonds and some opera on the radio.

Am I still on for "Raw" ?

Can I handle it ?

I am preparing to travel in two days... what will I do on the airplane for "raw" food" , should I say I am "Raw" and pass on the chicken mush? what about the sugar and salty snacks that are passed around? . Will I wilt and give in ?

I lost it a couple of nights ago and had a couple of glasses of wine. You see I was at the ******** Embassy getting our visas and it as so stressfull....the poor security guard had psoriasis.....so would I if I were checking peoples bodies for metal bits.

It is a challenge ...travel and "raw...I will have to browse around for ideas.....trail mix?.....some fruit ...a lunch box?

mmmm ......

Be strong! I am sure you can do it. Bring some trail mix (raw of course), kale chips, some dehydrated goodies. Wonder if green smoothies would dehydrate into leather? haha be strong. It's for your own good. haha

whenever I am traveling on a plane - I ALWAYS bring my own food! Even when i was a SAD eater - I brought stuff to make my own sandwiches etc. You could always make some eggless egg salad, onion breads or flax seed crackers, some sprouts and yumm!! A delicious sandwich! Plus fruit and veggies with a dip of some kind! How fun!! where you goin?

thanks for all the travel food advice. I won't even ask the airline for a vegetarian option. I'll let my partner eat mine .

I am going to Chicago from Dublin - international are more security conscious. My "raw" food may get confiscated

There are smoothie bars at the airport and I can get a few snack things before I go -not quite set up with dehydrators yet. May make a few nutbars.

My ultimate destination is Boise Idaho, where I will be for 10 months in potato land. :)
