Day 27 & Still Going

Rate this Entry
Well I fell behind in my blog because I've been busy. I didn't sleep well at all last night because I ate some cooked chocolate chip cookies. The sugar really hit me, and kept me up all night.

I tried to make a smoothie today with no fruit and I just couldn't drink it. Its very intense without fruit. However, the lemon basil adds a delicious flavor. So I added a little mango and it became drinkable.

Green Smoothie
Beet greens
lemon basil
celery
garlic
water
mesquite powder

I did have some success trying new recipes. Using ani's raw food kitchen,. I made the Coconut Breakfast Cakes, which are good, but were too runny so I put them in the dehydrator for a few hours and they came out okay. I also made the Pistachio Pesto, which is just incredible!

I also made Sun Burgers from I Am Grateful. They were okay, but they need a little something to go with them.

My goal is to make it to Day 30 and then start all over again. Blogging here helps keeps me focused on my raw diet, and I realize it will take more time to break my bad habits and create new & better habits. :)

RAWK ON!! You are doing great! I think it's important to keep reminding ourselves how long we ate SAD... and that we are making HUGE changes in our habits and so -- taking it one day at a time - one victory at a time is RAWKIN AWESOME!! blessings !! ;)
