triphala is a trip!!

Rate this Entry
I am enjoying my raw blogging journey, can you tell?

anyways, I did 40 min of Yoga and 30 min of Pilates today, and I FEEL GOOD!

I have been taking a set of Ayurvedic fruits called triphala as a supplement to my digestion for the last 3 days, and LET ME TELL YA - today was the culmination of a LOT OF RELEASE :

the brand I am taking is by Ayurveda Organics and is called triphala - digestive and colon support. It contains three indian fruits: organic amla (indian gooseberry), bibhitaki and hairtaki. i think this, along with my alfalfa is helping my body heal and absorb nutrients.

Triphala and 3-4 prunes every morning is definitely moving traffic down there, lol! I also am seeing more muscle tone in the abdominal area, now that I have been working on my Yoga ab exercises, (called mulabandas) and Windsor Pilates ab routines...

I am continuing to feel lighter and lighter each day, especially since I have been blogging more, reading more supportive posts, and not feeling so guilty about being 100% raw. I am doing the best I can with what is here in Utah...

of course I ALWAYS feel that I can do better, and I think that is what I have beating myself up with.

I had to step back yesterday after I wrote my visions down and say that I am doing really well considering where I started (190lbs). Just because I study exercise and nutrition doesnt mean I dont have issues too, as I have come to realize. Although many of my friends see me as a model and advisor of sorts, I still feel unworthy most of the time, and I need to just SUCK IT UP and GET OVER MYSELF. The people I look up to are not perfect either, EXCEPT GOD, so what the heck am I pouting and being upset about?

anyway, I had to give myself a sound scolding and a hug today. Definitely needed it

Hope you all are having a rawkin day! I am already!

So far:

am:
5 prunes, water and triphala
soaked oatmeal and blueberries (probably not raw, but very tasty!)

pm:
stuffed portabella with avo & tomato
Sunny tea (oolong and tulsi-holy basil)
Carrots and green salad if I am hungry later..

I think I will purchase the dehydrator (aka magic box!) when I return home from my trip. I am wondering if anyone has tried some of Alissa's recipes in the oven, and how did they taste? I want to at least experiment a bit and see how that would work out.

Blessings everyone!
