my head hurts

Rate this Entry
My head hurts. I don't know what to think about it. It has been hurting now, non-stop for about 1 week now. It feels weird. Not like a full blown headache. It feels like when you put on a pair of glasses and the ear piece is too tight and you develop a pain behind your ears until you take off the glasses. Well, that's it but the only difference is that I am not wearing any glasses. I still feel that awful pressure pain. Sometimes more intense than others but always there. It feels like I have a vice putting a tight hold there. I have resisted taking any advil or tylenol. I don't want to take those things anymore. I am wondering if it could be my elevated blood pressure causing it. I have stopped taking all my meds except my thyroid pill. I know I have been I guess it would not be a bad idea to have a dr's appt to get all my levels checked to see, in fact, how well I've been doing on this raw diet. I think my only apprehension would be if the levels are way off. I won't want to hear that. LOL See, it is my anxiety kicking in. I am trying to guess what the outcome is going to be. LOL
Food wise, I am trying, REALLY trying not to be consumed by the thought of food. Well, I have to tell you, IT IS HARD!!! For me, it is. I am trying to fight the thoughts that have made a permanent residence in my brain. It is time to evict those little devils!! LOL It is just that, one has to eat breakfast, right? then there is lunch, then there is dinner.......not to mention the snacks in between. I find it very difficult not to be thinking of food all the time because all these meals have to be eaten and it does take thought. I need to know how others are able to juggle this thing that is such a dilemma for me.
There has to be an easier way.

I'm no expert here...but I think the trick is to keep busy and have other interests and activities going on that take priority over food. The food should happen naturally (like driving a car, you don't think about every step of the driving process do you?). It might not be a bad idea to see your doctor! He/she can help you with how your medical situation is adjusting to your new diet. You shouldn't have to live with nonstop pain - your body is telling you something, don't ignore it. :)

I'm not sure if you dh meant that you could never think about food. I agree that there has to be some thought as in planning the meals, the snacks, preparing yr foods, maybe do that once a day - like in the morning - or nite b4 - write it down and stick to it for the most part - and if yu feel like haveing something else - just have it - nbd. Just don't read 20 different diet or health related books - don't study 20 different forums.. ;) (i know 20 is an exaggeration!)

and -- I agree with greenday - I'd go see yr dr. Yr health is nothing to ignore - you have genuine issues you are healing - pay attention to what yr body is telling you. It might be detox - but it might be yr blood pressure - don't stress over it - just go get it checkd. ;) You be good to yourself now lil miss jeannieh....
