Still hangin in there!

Rate this Entry
Yeah. I'm still hanging in there. So far so good. I know the week days have not proven to be a big problem for me. Having the routine I have is working for me. I have my drink in the morning on the way to work. I have an apple, or carrots or some type of fruit.

Today I had just a wedge of iceburg lettuce. I was chomping on that on the way home. I know it doesn't have much in the way of nutrition, but I love the crunch of it. Plus I know I can eat all I want and not worry about weight. I need the constant crunching. Seems it keeps me at peace. LOL When I got home I had some zucchini strips and red cabbage slivered into it. I smashed a tomato for the "dressing". It was a big bowl. The zucchini was bitter. darn it. I love zucchini, but I hate when it is bitter. Ruined it for me. I was full anyway. I later had some watermelon. A BIG bowl of it. I have made many trips to the bathroom. lol I hope it means something good is happening. LOL

I am getting confused from all the groups I am on. Some people say insistantly, Don't eat onions, garlic, spices, salt, salsa, ginger, etc........... Then I hear from other people........it is ok to eat onions, garlic...blah, blah, blah.....
Avocados, are good. Avocados are bad. Bananas are good. Bananas are bad.
All the recipes are good. All the recipes are bad.
Eat by the 80/10/10 rule. Don't eat by the 80/10/10 rule.....Eat nuts, seeds, oils, and dried fruits........Don't eat nuts, seeds, oils, and dried fruits

I am feeling a tad confused.

Honestly, I have to say, I do miss cooked vegetables. I used to be one that ate food so hot that you could see steam from my plate. I love hot food. I don't miss meat, I don't miss many foods, I do seem to miss hot food.
I don't know if I will be able to do this in the winter. Not that we have that much of a winter. lol

I think I am just rambling because that voice in my head is saying "I'm hungry"...........but my stomach is saying......."I'm ok".

I remain, for today, positive. :-)

jeannie - find your own balance... eat healthy -- eat raw -- and eat garlic LOL!!! HAHAHAAA.... SORRY COULDN'T RESIST! okay look - for EVERYTHING in life --- no matter what it is - you will find an argument for or against. There is nothing -NOT ONE THING - that everyone agrees on. So - listen to your body - and do what you feel is right for you. ;)

I consider myself a newbie at all of this - I've only been doing this for 4 months... so there is still a ton of stuff I need to learn. That's why I do not spend time on other websites - or other blogs - because I am so young and I don't know a lot of stuff and I don't want to get confused. I know Alissa's plan works. I have done it - am doing it- and I love it -- so here I sit day after day... because I trust what she teaches.

Alissa is one of the most highly respected raw food instructors around - so - I listen to the wisdom that she shares with us. I know some people say - no garlic, no onions... no this no that... my body says - yes to garlic and onions - so -- I eat it. I can't sweat the small stuff - it would make me crazy! I just eat raw and make healthy choices! You my dear - are doing really great tho!! You should be very proud of yourself!! ;)
