3rd day

Rate this Entry
Today is my 3rd day raw. The first day I think I ate 3 or 4 crackers w/ some shrimp dip but it wasn't much. It was simply not resistible. So maybe it is really my 2nd day? Who knows but other than that I have been sticking to raw stuff. I didn't find this website until today but I am glad I did because it seems like a great place to communicate with other people who are trying to improve their lives by going raw. I don't consider myself as taking a "raw challenge" or anything, I just wanted to start incorporating way more raw foods into my diet. I would like to think that I can turn this into a life long thing but I'm just going to take it a meal at a time and see what happens.
I'm not a vegetarian but I've always been a huge fan of veggies and fruit. I could probably live without eating meat pretty easily as long as nobody cooks bacon around me : ) It just smells so good. My only other "animal" weakness is boiled Louisiana blue crabs. I just can't see myself going without them during crab season - which is approaching now if I'm not mistaken. We'll see what happens when the time comes!
So I do feel pretty good so far. I am drinking lots of water and have eaten lots of grapefruit. (I just got back from Florida last week where I bought a whole bushel of grapefruits and they were deee-lish). Yesterday I ate a salad for lunch and ezekial cereal and lots of grapefruit. Last night I made a concoction that was pretty good. I threw some cucumber, brussels sprouts, mango, brazil nuts, hazelnuts, cilantro, tahini, lemon juice and green onion into the food processor and rolled the stuff up in romaine. It was great but I found myself wanting something to dip it in. Something creamy would have been nice! anyway it was really good just like it was.
I want to start sprouting so I plan to get some sprouting gear this weekend. Oh! and I saw this Aerogarden thing on some website and I can't wait to get one. You can grow your own cherry tomatoes and herbs in your kitchen. That is so super-awesome.
