I had flown out to see my family in the states and was experiencing the worst jet lag. Usually it takes me a day maybe two to get over it, but here I was a week later and I still was having a hard time. I decided I was going to really make an effort to eat 100% raw because I really needed the energy. Of course I started to feel better and didn't think too much about it. Then I noticed a couple of weeks later that I was late. I had only had one period the previous month since I quit nursing my one year old. So I really didn't know if I was late just because I wasn't in a normal cycle yet...I didn't feel pregnant!

But I had a dream...and it made me wonder. The dream was about my meeting a some of my people (I'm Native American) in the mountains. One woman in particular said they had been waiting for me and she was showing me a traditional dance about the creation. It was a dancer dressed as a bear and he was coming out of the earth in the darkness because light hadn't found it's way to the earth yet. I was watching the first being come into earth. It was amazing, and when the woman touched my shoulder I knew she was something "else". She made my entire body burn with an energy and I was so happy to be there.

When I was telling my mom about it, it hit me all at once and I asked her "I wonder if I'm pregnant?" Well, sure enough the test was positive and here I am. What a way to find out!
