Day 2/3 - flunked day 1
I am so stoked!! I got Alissa's book and DVD today, and stayed raw all day, and even though I felt hungry, I had enough waking energy to stay up until 3am to watch both the DVDs. The ladies at the end look fabulous after 30days. I usually see transformations like that after 6-8 weeks.
I am soo excited to do this for myself. I bought a bunch of collard greens, so I plan to make lots of collard rolls, nori rolls, and portabella/guac dish. I made the date nut torte, but I didnt process the dates enough, so its not frothy like Alissa's is on the video, but it still tastes wonderful. I style hair as a side job, and a new client who wants to lose weight thought that the torte was some sort of bean dip (based on appearance - i didnt do the gournmet look....). She tasted it, and said it tasted like a fruit roll-up to her! Which I guess is a good thing, if you are used to a lot of sweets, but I tool that as a compliment. She couldnt believe it was just nuts and raisins ( i used walnuts and almonds, cause Im running low on walnuts). As I was watching the video, I decided to take a few more bites, because my stomach is churning again. Not sure how to deal with empty feeling. Its not growling, but its not digesting anything, so...
I game myself an A for Day 2, and definitely and A as I enter Day 3, cause I am going to a friend's place to replay the DVD and make some goodies)
So, my goal recipes for this weekend are:
Nori Rolls
Cabbage/Collard Rolls
Angel Hair Pasta w/ Marinara
Portabella Guacamole
Butternut Squash noodles with golden curry sauce (love curry)
Any one know what SULTANAS are (p 411) and where I can get them?
Here goes! I look forward to continuing this way of life.
