Sunday is my favorite day of the week.

My day starts earlier, but from wake up time things are crazy. Church, teach Sunday School... (I have the privilege of teaching 12 and 13 year olds) and then from there its home to feed the puppies and load them up into the car for an evening of running around in chasing the emu.

Yup! Emu!

They're funny creatures. The hatchlings are absolutely adorable though.

This year, I'm bringing my own dinner for my Sunday birthday dinner. I'm taking Tacos! Love them and my almond cheese.

I also took the time to make my own "Birthday Cake".

I made a torte that tastes like the crust my mom used to make for her cheese cake.. accept mine is raw made mostly with pecans and cashews and a little bit of local honey. The torte is covered with a chocolately amazing mousse. I didn't use as much coacoa powder per serving as I made for mousse during the week, while it's still rich, it's definitely a lot lighter in flavor.

I have to tell you this detox is very interesting.

My stomach and I.. oi! I know this is a good thing but I honestly didn't think I had that much... err poo in me? Almost a little nervous about what will come out during a juice fast...

And we're off to the rest of the day!

    The puppies play with the birds. In the main house our hatchlings are allowed to come out and "play" while the hatcher and pen in the eggs room are tended to. Some of the babies are incredibly friendly and will love o have their necks scratched and to be cuddles. Some peck at your shows and like little kids want to play tag.

    They're a lot of fun unless it's a blood draw for NPIP. Then we have to have an emu rodeo. And those birds are strong!

    For the most part the dogs play with the birds as the birds and dogs have grown up around each other.
