This is my Nineveh!

Hello work week, why you have to be so full of temptation?

Rate this Entry
This week has been interesting to start. I'm up to 60% raw from pre packaged crazy processed heck.

My husband is a bit annoyed that we shop more frequently during the week on our backwards work schedule. (Tuesday through Saturday 1:45 pm to 10:45 pm). I know my produce that I buy should last that long but buying in smaller amounts means I'm less likely to over spend and less likely to waste food.

This is hugely important since I am super resistant to the change I'm making righ now even though I know it's the best thing for me.

It's also known as attention deficit ooo shiny! Disorder also known as Easter candy at work, the pizza my husband makes for breakfast, the up comig icecream party for my team, the pizza the execs that were in town yesterday passed out to everyone on the floor. I though to myself my goal today is fifty percent, why not enjoy some of these old crutches as I transition away.

That kind of thinking could get me into trouble. And it likely will continue to in the future.

We're coming into crunch time for a major game release. With it comes mandatory overtime, free food, stress, stress and more stress. Sure it's technically an expansion but with those changes come the people who's computers can no longer run the game. That means angry customers, horrible surveys and frustrated, worn out, and demorized employees who just want to scream but still answer the phone with a smile on their face.

No, this career path is definitely not for me. I'm trying to break into the therapeutic oil business but the oils are expensive and a lot of my friends who want them for home remedies can't afford them.

Frustrations, yes.

Ugh ranting.

So how did you do it? When you finally kicked the cooked habit how did you break through and have that amazing paradigm shift where you knew you wouldn't go back? How did you get there?

I always second guess myself and self sabotage. It's even harder with husband who is a self proclaimed meatarian and only eats corn and lettuce.

Worse, he won't try anything I make because he knows its not corn or lettuce. It's really hard to go raw with all this crap in my house ><

Hey, be sure to freeze things like Bananas (peel and put in a Baggie), Greens (wash and Baggie), pizza Crusts, nuts, Avocado, etc.... That way you won't have to shop as much for these things.

Trust me, if you make the Pizza Crusts from RFFE, you can get 10 out of one batch which will last you at least a week!!!! You can whip up a Pizza anytime SAD eaters are eating theirs and not be bothered by what they're eating at all!

How do I do it? I stay prepared. Yea, I have a raw business and eat leftovers, but I still make many meals at home. It's funny, I'll make something at my professional kitchen, then go home and make the exact same thing for me!!!! I KNOW, right!!!! Anyway...plan your meals will help you too...it will especially cut down on grocery store trips! Take a lesson from Alissa, make a shopping list with everything you plan to make in the week. Then go for it!

Believe me, I know it's hard...but it's NOT impossible! Here's some more tips: 1. Avoid spending time over the stove making SAD meals. Cook fast and flee like Joseph!!!!! 2. Eat something raw BEFORE you cook for your family...a Smoothie, chew on carrots...anything! That'll keep your mind focused and you won't nibble! 3. When you're eating your raw creations say, "Ummmm!!!! Oooh! This is INCREDIBLE!!! Delicious!!!! I LOVE this!!!! Wow!" I mean, REALLY show that you're enjoying what youre eating! Hehehehe! Really, it WORKS!!!! Say it enough and your Hubby will go, "Gimme some of dat!!!!" Trust me!!! Try it! :-)
