Georgina's Raw Journey
very long day . . .
Started in the middle of last night being woken by a firework that sounded like a bomb. Scared us all quite badly and with bonfire night falling midweek, it means we are going to have a minimum two weeks of it. I love fireworks, I just don't get why something you generally watch from about 50-100 metres away boasts a bang that can be heard 12 miles away. Give me pretty fireworks with a loud pop not something that makes me think I've woken up in a war zone. Stocked up massively on kale chips. I need to get a method of making these at home. Found raw black sesame tahini and some organic horseradish mustard which isn't raw but it is very good and I won't use much. Bought the odds and ends I was missing to make the coleslaw that Walnutty posted. Food was odd today. Was out and about getting smaller clothes this morning and got by on a tub of kale chips and a bottle of water. Went to a bar for a very late lunch. Snuck an avocado, sharp knife and a bottle of dressing in and ordered 3 side salads (on one plate please). It came with roasted red peppers on which I had to pick out. Since when did roasted red peppers make it into a green salad? Deep sigh. I wonder what they will have made of the avo skins and stone I left on the plate :) Two persimmons for supper and going to be time for bed. It's still early but it's dark and we tend to turn in when night falls.
