Fri/ Day 5
I'm feeling excellent today! I feel very clear-headed, positive, and full of energy! The past 2 days I felt cloudy-headed, tired, and lazy. I'm not sure what the exact cause of this change is, but I like it! :)
Last night was a bit rough...I had more intense cravings for food that would make me feel "full" and satisfied. I would have eaten an avocado, but I had already eaten one yesterday afternoon, and I didn't want to overdo it on my fat intake. I guess too much avocado fat is better than cooked food though, right? I'm going to buy some raw treats to have around in case the cravings hit again.
I went to the doctor this morning for a follow-up appointment. Last month, I had an IUD inserted for my method of birth control. (Which I am very happy with, by the way!) Before that, I was taking birth control pills for over 4 years. The doctor said that the IUD looked fine, and that I could officially stop taking the pills. The IUD has a much lower concentration of hormones than the pills did, and the hormones won't be running through my blood stream. I'm not sure if I'll notice any changes from getting off the pills, like worse periods, or worse skin issues. It's quite possible that I will. So, the next few weeks I'll be detoxing from cooked foods as well as detoxing from my body being pumped with hormones!![]()

-3 tangerines
-2 grapefruits
-smoothie: peach, banana
-green grapes (almost an entire bag!)
-smoothie: banana, kale
-apple
I was in a fruity mood today. I'm not sure what is best, more fruits or more veggies? I need to experiment with this and see what combination works best.
