Hey Lisa ...there are a few recipes...but first u have to make the Buckwheat Crispies...
Buckwheat Crispies
"I like to make a couple pounds of Buckwheat Crispies at a time, and then store them in an airtight jar. They're the raw version of Rice Krispies, travel easily, and keep for at least 6-9 months. Like Rice Krispies, they don't have much flavor, so you'll want to enjoy them with a delicious mylk for breakfast. And they're good for adding crunch to salads, desserts, and wraps." (excerpt from book)
1 pound buckwheat groats
*Put groats in a large bowl and fill to the top with water. The BW will more than double in size as it expands, so use enough water to keep it fully under water.
*I like to rinse the BW every few hours to keep the water fresh. You'll notice the soak water gets thick and slimy quickly. It's also fine to just leave it in the same water for the 6-8 hours of soak time too. And feel free to add water if it looks like it could use more.
*Rinse soaked BW thoroughly after soaking 6-8 hours. If you're using an Excalibur dehydrator, put the mesh screen onto each tray. If using a dehydrator with holes larger than the BW groats, you'll want to place parchment paper as a base onto each tray first. Spread BW onto your trays.
*dehydrate at 104 degrees F for 3-5 hours, or until completely dry.
Now these are the different cereal recipes...
Goji Berry Sunshine Cereal
1 cup goji berries
1 orange, peeled, seeded, and diced
2 bananas, sliced
1/2 cup figs, fresh or dried, chopped
1/2 cup buckwheat crispies
*Put the goji berries, orange, banana, figs, and Crispies in a bowl and enjoy with mylk immediately, so your bananas won't brown
Good Morning Muesli
2 apples or 2 peaches, diced
1/2 cup cranberries
1 cup pumpkin seeds
1/4 cup black or tan sesame seeds
1/4 cup flax seeds
*Put all into a bowl and enjoy with mylk immediately
Nirvana Hemp Muesli
3 bananas, sliced
1 cup figs, fresh or dried, chopped
1 cup hemp seeds
1/2 cup buckwheat crispies
*Put all into a bowl and enjoy with mylk immediately
All of these recipes make 4 servings..so if u want to make less just adjust to your needs...I unfortunately don't have a dehydrator...so u guys will have to tell me how they are...they sound soooo yummy tho;) ...here's the pancake recipe which I can't wait to try myself
