How to begin this. I'm a 25 year old mother of three. My oldest is just about 6 years old. I smoke. I like to drink occasionally. Usually the only beverage I have any given day is coffee. Right now, I don't eat any fruits. The only veggies I eat are packaged, frozen broccoli. Every once in a while I have carrot sticks with ranch or bleu cheese dressing. Oh yeah, and LOTS of fried potatoes. That and pasta would be my favorite foods. So starting this raw food fad/diet/lifestyle/thing is going to be very hard for me. My aunt is doing it right now. My mom's already started to go raw. She's slowly getting rid of everything in her house that's not. I will start tomorrow. I've got nothing in the house to eat that's raw. So tomorrow, the 28th of February is going to be my Day 1. But I figured I should probably put some things down before I start. I want to quit smoking. I want to not be tired all the time. I want to have more energy to play with my kids. I don't want to be as grouchy as I normally am. (Just ask my mom):) I would like to lose 65 pounds. I would like to get back into my size 12 pants. Basically, I would like to be how I was about 4 years ago. I was at my all time smallest pantsize, lowest weight, but I was also at my most tired and sick stage. So I would like to be the same size I was, But be over all healthier. I'm hoping doing this will help me out. That and the support from other people that are doing it to. I don't know if I will be able to make this a 100% all raw, all the time, commitment, but I know I will be making at least a 75% lifestyle change to that aspect. After a while I might start eating a few courses of lean meats (fish and chicken), and maybe cooking some of my veggies. But mostly I will be sticking to raw fruits and veggies. But right now I don't have the money to get a food processor or the correct dehydrator, so I'm going to be drinking alot of smoothies. And a lot of water. Which I really don't drink enough of right now. But that's enough for know. Each day I will post what I've eaten and how I feel. Hopefully I get some helpful insight from people that have been there and can help me make quick and easy recipes other then smoothies all the time. I can do this. It's just going to take alot of will power. Thank you.

    [FONT="Comic Sans MS"][COLOR="Sienna"][I]Hi Cindy,
    Boy, this will be a big change for you and with three little ones you already have your hands full. On the plus side you have two family members who are raw which should be enormously helpful. Smoothies are great and lots of kids like them too. Keep writing. Let us know if we can help in any way.
