Getting back in the groove...
So, a couple years ago, as you know, I discovered the raw food "diet", or lifestyle if you will. I love fruits and veggies, and thought - Hey I can do that. And I can, BUT after a couple weeks I fell off that raw wagon hard. And even though I had a couple well intentioned thoughts and attempts at getting back on that wagon, I never did. So here I find myself in 2012, 30 feeling like I'm about 50 or so. Getting colds or flus A LOT more. Just all around feeling crappy. And I realized the reason: even though I've been eating vegan I have NOT been eating well a lot of the time. I developed this terrible addiction to potato chips. I started drinking coffee again - and a lot (5 or more cups per day). I was eating all this processed food that many people assume is ok because it's vegan... but it's really not. Anyway, all this got me thinking back to that wonderful time many moons ago when I was raw. How after just a few DAYS, I felt lighter and had more energy. How I slept better. Didn't get angry or annoyed as easily. And I realized that I am ready, and that I need to do this. Because I know ultimately that this is what will help me and that really committing to going 100% raw all the time will really change my life.
