New Year, New Me

Rate this Entry
Well, this day has started off uber great! I've got my juice for sippin' while cruising the internet... got some great ideas for dinner and snack makings..... Ahhhh.... life is good.

My juice is made of orange, cucumber, ginger, carrot and apple. It's got a little bite to it which is nice.

Last night I made crackers in my dehydrator that consisted of a chunk of leftover onion, about 4 tomatoes, 2 cups of corn, nutritional yeast, garlic, flax seeds and some salt. I even got a little more creative that I'd been before and scored them into little triangles. Along with a new idea for salad dressing (ty, Mony) and raw almond cookies (ty, Shaeliya) I'm going to make a batch of nut cheese tonight to go with my crackers. I'm so spoiled!

I'm loving this feeling of eating freely as long as it's fruits or veggies and not obsessively counting calories. I feel nourished and so well cared for. These ladies and gentlemen on this site kept repeating about not obsessing, eating bountifully, and you'd find your way. I was like....

"Mhhhm, but WHEN?! I want it now!"

Well, it is now, and I got what I wanted and I'm a lot more forgiving of myself and a heck of a lot more patient. Because when you feel your body talking to you, telling you, by cravings or however it happens for each of us, there is no question as to the right way to care for yourself.

Ok, so I've made a New Year's resolution. I'm starting fresh with a new year and a new me. My goal is to allow myself slip-ups from time to time but not obsess over what those slip-ups mean or don't mean. In the past, I tended to think that backsliding meant something that it really didn't about me. I gave food way too much power. It's about being happy and healthy!

Happy New Year!
