Stress effects the way I eat.

Rate this Entry
I missed my fasting start today I am so mad at myself. I worked yesterday went xmas shopping at the mall. I got home about 6pm. Put up the tree walked the dog. I totally drove by whole foods and forgot to stop for produce. I drank a naked juice today. Not "raw" but still a healthy choice. My weight loss slowed to nothing. Im jump starting it again with my juice fast tonight. I really want to do a water fast. I am working up to it. Maybe next month a 24 hour water fast. I have been reading all of these miracle healing stories. When Im stressed I eat alot. .

Hey, don't get down on yourself! It's normal to be stressed, especially at this time of year. Just stock up for your juicing and set your day... I'll even do it too!

And don't beat yourself up if you slip up. Just resolve to do better the next day, if you can. Just remember all the little accomplishments you have made. And definately try to keep supplies in the house. Even if you're not juicing just snacking on fruits and veggies is very very good for you. You should really aim to do a water fast on a day when you don't have much going on because that will really change the way you want to eat for the better. 24 hours is easy too because when you break you can have some juice or you can have fresh fruit. The longer fasts are more difficult to break and that is the hardest part!!

    2 things I'm doing...ok, well 3.
    1) reduce stress....learn to say no, learn to let go
    2) actually that was the learn to let go part, lol...but seriously, if you can't avoid the stress, try and put it in perspective...do you really need to have the anxiety response you are having to it?
    3) address your diet from both ends...yes you are aiming for raw foods, but if you fall off the wagon, try and make a new rock bottom that you won't cross. ....that could be gradual...like for sure, you won't eat x. Just x. y and z are still possible, but for now and for life you are for sure quitting x no matter what astronomical stress hits you. ...and once you feel like x is not an issue, fold in y. I am having better luck making 'x' not too big and not too small...like if it was just chocolate bars that would be too small, I would need to cut out all unhealthy forms of chocolate for example...otherwise I will just start eating chocolate cake, lol.

Anyways this is working for me...but a work in progress ofcourse.

That is a great strategy, I've never actually heard or thought of that one before (3) I'm going to try that too!!
