Georgina's Raw Journey

Exertion for the weekend . . .

Rate this Entry
We've spent most of the day in the garden so far. We've emptied the compost bin of 7 or 8 wheelbarrow's worth of lovely rich compost into the newly made raised beds.

This afternoon we are fetching horse manure to fill the bin we have emptied and so it all starts again. The worms n the compost were very healthy looking. they certainly do a good job.

Back later :o)

We've had a "bit of a veg patch" for a while but this autumn we've put raised beds in - very low raised beds; nothing as fancy as John Kohler's - so in a way we are back to square one and have a new garden again.

There is also an area that has just been scrubby before which we are very slowly removing large amounts of bindweed from. This area will have soft fruits in eventually.

The vast majority of the garden is owned by my rescue hens. At the moment it's all getting rather muddy
