Still going strong on raw
I feel absolutely fabulous with just one exception. I feel like there is a heavyness in my gut, like I need to go the bathroom. It's been like this for quite a few days. It's not uncomfortable, really, but I know I'd like it a hell of a lot better if it would just move along already! Such a topic, I know, but is this common for detoxing, or transitioning?
I did a week juice fast then eased myself into feasting on whole fruits and veggies. As it is now, I have a juice consisting of about 8 carrots, 4 oranges an apple and some ginger. This works out to be around a 630 calorie juice spread out through the morning. I'm allowing for about 1300-1400 calories a day (while trying to lose weight) so I try to reach that at dinner with some healthy fats like avocado, coconut butter, or evoo in my salad or smoothie.
Does anyone have any any ideas to help with the rock in my gut, or see something I could add/take away from my diet? Consumption of nuts is minimal. Last I had was some sunflower seeds in some raw mashed potatoes made with cauliflower for thanksgiving. I also shared a raw peppermint patty with my daughter yesterday, but I doubt that could be the cause, since I've been feeling this way for days.
Anyway, this has turned into a whine-fest! I really DO feel great otherwise. I sleep well these days. In fact, it's like clockwork. I'm loving it! My outing to Seattle for the new tattoo and Chaco Canyon turned out wonderful! I'm now craving raw enchiladas on a daily basis. They also make their own kombucha there.. I tried some (Orange Spice) and it was delicious! I'll be heading back there this coming Saturday and I'm really debating whether or not I should try something else or just stick with what I know I like!
I'd appreciate any comments to my current AIL, though when you think about it, it really is NOTHING compared to the grocery list of ailments I used to have.
Sleeplessness
Nightmares
Bloating
Irritability
Depression
Puffy fingers
Gas, ow the gas!
Skin issues
OK, I'm done now!
