Nov. 20, 2011 ~ Day 3 of Cleansing Protocol

Rate this Entry
Was a bit hungrier today and, it's now evening. I've had a really good smoozie ~ I'll post the recipe on my personal blog tomorrow.

Stomach is currently making some very funny noises. Himself is making food downstairs so, I'm eating grapes and persimmon so I'm not tempted although, I have been tempted all do.

Got in over 12,000 steps today and got to the farmers' market before it really started coming down.

For the rest, please check out my blog.

Aren't persimmon wonderful. I was eating them all last week as our local shop has them on special offer. I hope the offer is still on today, if so I may get some on the way home.

I like the harder ones. The ones I purchased yesterday are too soft and mushy... Fuyu I think... should be harder sooo, gonna cut 'em up and put them in a smoozie!!!

I like them soft but still with what I call a "poppy" core. As you bite into the core area the it sort of goes pop in your mouth. They've got lots of yummy goodness in them - I was just reading up on the nutritional values and I just had two for breakfast and there are another 4 in my desk drawer for later

Ok, my friend picked up a persimmon last week and we were both excited to try it. But our first bites flooded our mouths with this bizarre sensation. My mouth went totally dry and it was something like a mouthful of banana peel. What was wrong with out persimmons, lol?

on't let your experience put you off. Try to find the other type or let the type you did find go fully ripe - that means quite soft

Yes, as MT says, one needs to be really ripe and soft; the other, hard. I have the hard ones and really don't like them soft. Didn't like the texture so I blended it and made it into "pudding". Actually, I've not even tried the others. I think mine are Fuyu and the others are Hachima? (not taking time to look at link... too much to do today!!!! O.k., that is one ugly, scare "happy" face.

Oh, join the smilie-free freedom fighters Revv. Some evil being has stolen all the friendly ones and imprisoned them and has replaced them with demonic ones.

I keep on meaning to make a link set to ones I like and use them instead. I keep forgetting. Really question the sense of adding these new ones. They are creepy creepy creepy.
