I made a checklist of all the SAD food that I was attached to in my past. And took the time to read online, through uncook books, and in the archive on RFT to find recipes. I have a knack of knowing if the recipes is gonna be good after playing with raw food over a period of time. When I do find a raw recipe for my former SAD item, I put a little check mark next to it. And seriously there is just about tons of all kinds of raw food recipes that will cover just about any SAD cravings!! Seriously!! I was very impressed and I wish I had done this sooner. Oh well, I'm doing it now.
The checklist really helped me to see that I can still indulge in all my favorite/comfort food in a very healthy way.
I will continue adding onto my checklist and my collection of raw recipes will be nearby ready to go instead of having to shuffle through all my un cookbooks to find a raw food recipe to satisfy a particular craving.
What helps me now that I realized, is to read my uncookbooks when I have time. If I see a recipe that interest me, I will write it down. Usually I read through them and see many I like, but once the book is closed, I usually forget to make the recipes.
And I have also organized the recipes in a way that works for me. I have a colorful folder with dividers I've created to store recipes I like. That way it is not forgotten and I can get right to uncooking in no time with my favorite recipes that hits the spot!! And new recipes that might be my next favorites.
The recipe box, notebook binder, or spiral notebook just didn't work for me. Having a folder with dividers where I can easily shuffle through and easily eyeball what I'm looking for is wonderful!!
I feel like I reinvented my raw self in a new way!!
Have fun on the raw food lifestyle!!
EDIT Update: I just now turned on the comments to be displayed in my setting if any of you want to comment. For some reason I thought I could moderate comments before the comments were displayed. So if any of you have posted comments, I did not see them nor did I recieved them. Just so you all know.
Major Blessings!!
My thought for the day and always!!
