My Wonderfully Raw Journey
Home sweet home...and then i broke my blender
So today I arrived home from the family reunion and when it came to staying raw all went well. I had lots of salad, bananas, kimchi(store bought), and oatmeal cookies. I bought premade guacamole that was delicious and used it in collards wraps and even though some people didn't understand how or why I was eating this way they respected me and went on their way. This reunion wasn't like reunion in the past as we didn't know this side of the family well and they were very unorganized. Oh well better luck next time.
Since I've been home I went grocery shopping and spent a normal 50$ of my own money and 30$ that my grandfather gave me as a gift. I used it at the co op to buy some staples and other treats such as cashews which the pieces were 6.99/lb !!!, some more vanilla beans(2 pods for 1.39 I bought 3 packs), organic coconut, dates, and even raw onion bread! It's from the same lady at the farmers market she sells premade raw snacks and desserts there I thought it was awesome. And it taste amazing and I definitely want a dehydrator! Now I have so much food I can't decide what to make! I did make some lemon pudding for tomorrow and I ate the bread with some guacamole and tomorrow I plan to make teriyaki stir fry with kelp noodles.
Now earlier I also tried to make ice cream in my blender and I was stupid enough to try and use a spoon to try and scrap down the sides and my blender container exploded and now my blender is in the trash. I plan to use my food processor for now until I invest in a decent high speed blender. I've been looking at the ninja blender as its a decent price and gets amazing reviews and comparisons to the vitamix. It's only 100$ and I think its worth the investment. I have to save up right now so my food processor is my new friend for a while. After my blender I'm gonna get a cheap dehydrator to play around with and ask for an excalibur for Christmas lol!
Well that's plenty of rambling for tonight but tomorrow is day 11 of my raw journey and I'm still loving it!
