Corn in Salad

Rate this Entry
I have never liked sweetcorn mixed in with foods because as I grew up I never liked any other corn than either raw, eaten direct from the cob or cooked, eaten direct from the cob.

Tinned was revolting, frozen wasn't good and the taste of these types of corn pervaded the whole meal if mixed in.

This evening I have added corn - cut from the cob by me - into my salad and I am loving it. I dare say it breaks a food combining rule somewhere but I don't care!

Another, albeit small, hurdle over-come

Mystic - if you enjoyed raw corn in your salad you HAVE to try this recipe for Raw Sweetcorn and Cherry tomato salad. It's seriously to DIE for, the dressing alone is heavenly

Thanks, it's very similar to what I made yesterday. I had various other additions such as finely shredded cabbage and bulb fennel and also an avo! It was a big salad :)
