I am so content with raw. I am turned off the foods I used to eat and really can't imagine ever eating any of them again. This is both a little scary but also amazingly liberating.
We have it over our ancestors like a tent when it comes to variety of things available and just the small selection of produce from the garden is making me happier with every mouthful. It's saving me money too and I find I am eating more and more of the leafy greens and salad crops as I get deeper into raw.
Seaweed. omg. I am so into marinated seaweed at the moment. I soak as much as I can manage to get into my dressing jar in a small amount of cider vinegar and add garlic, ginger, dates, black pepper or chilli flakes and then add EVOO and let it stand a while then blitz it in the blender a little til it goes stiff.
I use that as a base for salad dressings through the week. A spoonful of the gloop in a small container with a spoonful or so of water - give it a shake and fabulous dressing for my salad.
Doing it this way means I can make 1/2 pint evoo last me a whole week and the seaweed in it is just divine.
I think I am adjusting well now to a less expensive way of RAW and I will be collecting seaweed at the weekend as long as I have transport to get to the beach.
