IF'ing, going raw...tomorrow is Monday, etc. ;)

Well I have been successfully intermittent fasting for a week now. This is where you only eat during a certain window of the day. My window was 4-9'ish. I lost 1.5 pounds. It would have been a bit more but I gained one pound back due to a coupld of rather junky days near the end.

Anyways, this week I am going to keep doing the same but seek to increase my nutrition and kick dairy to the curb once and for all. It just totally destroys my complexion (sp?). I know that even when I eat gluten free and dairy free I still have a dull complexion if I don't eat a lot of raw fruit and veggies.

I am going to make Sundays a cheat day so that I always have something close to look forward to and that will most likely be Thai food.

Each day I want to break my fast with fruit and have a salad. Whatever I have after that I will try and make a combination of satisfying cravings and keeping things gluten free and vegan.

Cheese, chocolate, root beer, freezies, chips...they are robbing me of my health, I am addicted to them and I am tired of it. REALLY tired of it. The first half of the IF'ing week I didn't have Any of it because I was trying to quit and I didn't even really notice it. ...then I realized it had been days since I had had any of it and thought, 'well I am not eating all day, so I can have some treats, that's the whole point of doing it after all, so that you can eat more decadently when you do eat' ...and that's when I stopped losing weight and then started the one pound gain. But the first half of the week was a success now that I think of it. I broke the fast with fruit very purposely...I want to resume my focus on that, and on salads. So two-thirds raw, one final snack possibly not. Then Sundays I will have a special cooked meal, maybe try out some of the recipes from my vegan cookbooks for both the main meal and desserts. No junkfood. I want to quit junk food for life.

My goal is to make it on this regimen just this one week. If I make it I will feel so proud of myself and will be looking and feeling much better and will have lost some weight and feel a lot of encouragement to continue because of these things. So just one week of success is all I need to get the ball rolling. :)

And over time, hopefully I will have all raw days with it and any cooked food would be more occasionally. I just feel like I need a 'flex-plan' for the interim.

So one week, blogging my food starts tomorrow. :)
