So started last week with a quest for 100% RAW VEGAN with a short goal of just getting to the equinox. About 11 days is all.
The first 3 days were easy and then the fourth a struggle and then weekend sistahhood gathering with many vegan but not so RAW favorites.
Variations from RAWl have been vegan and minimal, thank goodness and I've still felt very good, well accept day after gathering...must have been the Ethiopian Honey Wine.
Which left me thinking that I am just going to do me with love.
100% VEGAN for sure, as high RAW as I possible can each day with the key being love, a green smoothie daily and my supplements. These 3 keys have made a world of difference. To it I will add an ever increasing amount of spring water, more movement and fasting.
I'm down 20lbs (10 I released this week) from my highest weight ever yet with 91 lbs to reach my ideal goal and personally healthiest ever BMI that I really have expereinced...so I want to be there again!
Been reading a Course in Weight Loss by Marianne Willimason, thank you Jinjee and Storm for the reccomendation, and bought better sneakers to add a bit more pep to my step. Feeling more confident than ever in my ability to release the excess unneeded unwanted unattractive weight and looking forward to gaining the stamina need to strengthen my core. Not going to over analyze what makes me feel really motivated this time more than the last 100 times but I know that having my mobility impacted and waiting around on a doc appointment for 2nd opinion of a disease/ condition I don't want and a cure that doesn't exist have become big motivators!
Feeling so empowered that I even want to put completing a marathon back on my to do list in time for my bday next year... BIG GOAL I know but I am strong with a long stride and even if I walk it iall the way it will be an accomplishment. Ended my Y membership, in favor of FREE outdoorsy movement and activity, so need to get back up to my 4 mile/ hr trot status and build from there.
Thanks to all for always offering encouragement and support. Probably won't hang her much more than I have to because one thing that I have found to be a trigger to my crappy eating is actually sitting around reading about and thinking about food too much, no matter how healthy. The worst is when a RAW gourmet item I try to duplicate is not so tasty I immediately feel compelled to have the real SAD version. No more! That's in the past. Haven't even pulled my dehydrator out this go round. Primarily because it is cracked and such a disappointment to even look at and because the only things I absolutely love that I make in it are Kale Chips and marinated shrooms/onions. Can do without the RAWritos and flat raw breads. Will forever embrace RAW priestess brownies and all the assorted variations of RAW pies with date nut crust, don't need a dehydrator for these. Thank goodness I still have my beloved GAIA, my vitamixer.
Most amazing thing is that I am days prior to my menses and my immense cheese (4-8oz daily) and chocolate cravings are gone. I attribute this to green smoothies, EFA's and daily vitamin/ mineral suplementation! Yeah me!
Pushing for 100% RAW VEGAN each day and knowing that even at 70, 80 or 90%
I am fully loving myself more now than ever!
