An Evening with Four Davids
David Wolfe, me, and my boss, Jodee.
What an amazing evening! On March 24 I went to the HyperThrive event at the University of Washington. David Wolfe and Green Smoothie Girl were the guest speakers. Sunwarrior and Sacred Chocolate were the sponsors.
It was a great turnout by the raw Seattle community. I've been going to raw events and potlucks for maybe two years now, usually 2-3 events a month. Hard to believe how many people I've met. Everywhere I looked there was someone to greet and talk with. Lots of hugs, too. Us rawbies love to hug! I'm so grateful to be have found this raw network. I also got to see and chat with a couple of my customers from last summer's Farmer's Market.
Both Green Smoothie Girl and David Wolfe gave inspired talks. David Wolfe is a force of nature. Up close, I was like a deer in his headlights. Talk about a magnetic personality. I could feel the strength in his aura. It was almost overwhelming. Maybe it was partly because his books have meant so much to me over the past few years. Maybe it is that his raw vibration is off the charts. Whatever it is, I was thrilled to finally get the chance to see and hear him in person.
At the end of the event, I walked right up to David Wolfe and asked him to sign my book, "The Sunfood Diet Success System", which I just happened to have with me in case such an opportunity presented itself. Wolfe was very gracious about it. He called me "love" and asked me who he should sign it to. I told him Raw Food Maven which he got a kick out of. My friend David Hempseed was standing nearby, so I asked him to take a picture. It turned out fairly well. Jodee and I still had our work hats on as much to cover our "hat hair" as for self-promotion.
Dave the Raw Trucker was in town for the event. He and his business partner, Tresa, came to visit Jodee's Desserts. I was happy to see them. As always, they are a joy to be around. Their car was in the shop for repairs so I had the pleasure of taking the four of us to the HyperThrive event in my car. At the event we met up with another special man named David, David Sullivan, a co-worker at Jodee's.
At the end of the day I came home to reflect on how my evening had revolved around four men named David, and how important each one of them was in my raw life.
