Sweetest Job Ever!
The first thing I do on the job each day is fill Jodee's display case with delicious raw vegan desserts and treats.
I made the chocolates, macaroons, and mousse cups that you see on the bottom shelf. I'm still in training to make the cakes. Training is rough. ; ) I have to taste everything Jodee makes to train my palette in how it should be.
I have Saturday and Sunday off. Saturday I went to the Naughty Vegan's birthday party and raw potluck. Too bad I didn't talk my husband into coming with me. It was a nice party with music and dancing. I always invite him to come with me to these raw vegan parties and he alway declines. No matter, he doesn't mind that I go without him.
Of course, I took something sweet for the potluck. I made Cafe Gratitude's Brazil Nut Truffles. It was the second time I've made this recipe. It seemed a lot easier than the first time. Isn't that always the way it is? The truffles turned out fabulous. It was fun to watch the looks on people's faces when they took that first bite.
I better get to bed. It's back to work in the morning. Tomorrow is Jodee's one month anniversary. And I still look forward to going to work every day. It's actually difficult to stay away on the weekends. Never thought I would feel that way about a job. : )
Life is sweet. Really sweet!
I do miss hanging out here at RawFoodTalk. Healthy regards to everyone.
