Transforming into a Raw "Baker"
Perhaps you could call me a dehydrator.
Based on the deliciousness levels of the black sesame sunflower seed bread I made yesterday (consisting primarily of ground flax seeds, flax seeds, sesame seeds and sunflower seeds), I can safely say that I am going to be making lots of 'baked' raw goodies. I ate a slice of the bread with cashew cheese for breakfast (I was supposed to be saving it for lunch, whoops!) and I really just can't wait to eat more. My mom's reaction to the flax-based bread was, "I hope you're near a bathroom honey". LOL. (maybe for her as her diet is low in fiber).
One of my elderly friends has been struggling with what to eat because she's on blood thinners but also deals with cholesterol. She's pretty limited in the standard protein arena and also can't eat the leafy greens she loves because of the blood thinners. I promised her I'd make her some raw flax crackers so she can free herself of her wheat thin addiction. I am pretty positive she'll love them!
What should I bring her to slice/smear on top of the crackers? She's not a raw foodist, so I'm thinking hummus.
More Kale Chips to be made tonight. I'm thinking spicy this time!
Olive Oil
Sea Salt
Ground Cumin
Ground Cayenne
Chili Powder
Onion Powder
Lime Juice
Sounds like crack to me!
