Ever notice how some things come in bunches? (no not carrots, parsley, or bananas.... geeze You guyz all think like a BUNCH of raw food fanatics!! LOL!!! )


I've been getting compliments... and sometimes people just don't quite know how to give a compliment!!

I was told - "Wow - you're three times SMALLer than you used to be. I seriously didn't think it was you, I thought your husband had another woman sneaking out of the house early in the morning!"
( gee - thanks! I know they 'meant' it nicely!)

Here's another good one: "Wow - are you losing weight? That's REALLY good because I was walking up to the office the other day and I was thinking ... Wow - you've really packed on the weight."
(OMG ... okay - thanks... )


dh has NEVER been one to hand out too many compliments. When I was a skinny (unhealthy) I was between a size 0 to a size 3/4 - he never gave me many compliments, (maybe bcuz I LOOKED unhealthy - duhhh... )

(If I ever complained - his answer was always - if you look good you should know it and I shouldn't have to tell you.) sigh...

but then I got big ... and bigger ... and REALLY BIG ....and of course - he definitely didn't compliment me then LOL!! ;)

BUT... when I made the decision to begin living the Raw lifestyle - he became so grateful that i was losing any thing at all - that now he compliments me almost every day!! I think he sees ME... emerging from this cocoon of fat and he's sooo relieved! LOL... cute but funny!

(which makes me grateful that he's finally noticing! and it gives me more incentive to work harder - eat healthier -- all that!)

A list of dh compliments (mind you some of them are -- well, he means well!) He really does!

He hugged me the other day and got all happy and told me ..."OMG... I can put my arms all the way around you again!!"

He pats my tummy (yes - I said pats my tummy like I'm a buddah) and he says... "Wow honey, you're really losing the weight there!! You're not all jiggly anymore!!"

oh and this is a good one...
he grabbed my butt as I walked by and he said "OMG - you have a small a** again!! That's so cool - ya know honey - it was getting kinda scary there for a while. Your butt was really REALLY HUGE."

ROTFLMAO.... Literally...

Or when he came home and I was standing at the kitchen counter. And he said... "Wow - it's so strange to see you standing there - I'm so used to seeing this huge a** - and here you are - and its you but you look so different from behind now!!"

gee -- thanks hon!!

and yesterday - I got a compliment from one of the mechanics -

"Are you losing weight?"
I said "yes"
he said..."Its uhh... uhhh... " and then he shakes his head yes...

at that point I wanted to bend over so that my EYES were where my BUST was at that moment and say ... "Hello - I'm up here!!"
ayyyeeee yaaaa....

Now I know that it's not my imagination -- those technically ARE compliments aren't they?? LOL! aHHH Welll....

    StarFire... you are just too much! People can be so tactful, can't they??? I used to be a size 4 too, and since I've ballooned up to astronomical proportions, dh hardly pays me a glance, sad but true (ask me sometime...). At first I thought I was losing weight for him to pay attention to me again, but I have FINALLY gotten to the point where I'm doing it for ME! :) Blessings to you, my friend, for making me laugh everyday!

    Those are some great ones ..even if some weren't that great..they prolly made u lose more weight from laughter ..so I've lost like 7.8lbs..and today I ask this guy I sorta dated for a bit..can u tell I've lost weight..and he just gives me this deer in the headlights look..I could totally tell he was trying hard to figure out what to say..HA it was hilarious..I figure maybe when I lose 15 someone will notice..RAWk on girl

    Wow those are GREAT I can't wait 'til my BF starts. I've been a size 12 for as long as I can remember. I remember once I was prob 18 and I was losing weight. My sis and cous bought me size 9 cute jeans but still they were nowhere near being able t be pulled up...LOL

    Hahaha, I thought now you would say that everyone saw your GLOW Well... If the compliments came from guys... They just ARE a bit tactless;) They have neither our socail skills nor our skills to put things into words BUT YOU SEE EVERYONE CAN SEE YOU GET SMALLER AND SMALLER! HANG IN THERE!

    And your hubby seems to be a real sweetheart ! I already like him ;). I prefer a little "clumsy" but honest(its so sweet how they helpless try to say nice things! haha so cute) instead of those cheesy stupid comments noone can take for real like... "Girl you are thinner than Kate Moss anymore beautyfull than *insert an actress of your choice*";) Like one can see in cheap roadmovies..

    But... hum... two more month on raw and you WILL BE THINNER THAN Kate Moss Take care girl! white snow and stuff are nothing for hawaiian girls ya know..;) (Though... you already have an rockstar as hubby )

    At least people are noticing even if they can't voice it well. I think it's more frustrating to have lost 20 or 30 lbs and have had no one said anything. You think can't you people see the difference?

    HILARIOUS!!! I know what you mean in the compliments department. Our husbands sound like they could be brothers, switched at birth. My husband does the same thing - gives me compliments like a 5 year old boy. I mean, I LOVE it - but it's still funny. He's contantly grabbing, like he has a new wife!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's marvelous. More reason to stay raw!

    People are so funny! Men especially. Although sometimes I hear some goofy stuff fly out of womens' mouths too!

    I do think that people just glow when they are eating healthier, and it comes across in how they carry themselves. You are doing GREAT!
