Sunday~2-20-11~Yogi Tea says "Be Proud of Who You Are"

Rate this Entry

Sunday~2-20-11~

So, I was thinking about what to write in my blog & making a cup of Yogi Eygiptian Licorice tea.....I always read the little tag....this one says "Be proud of who you are.".....Wow, I thought to myself - that would be an awesome title for today's blog post.....

Be proud of who YOU are!!
Where ever you are in this moment - that is EXACTLY where YOU are supposed to be....

We are all on our own journey & no 2 are alike....we need to find out what works for US in this life - no matter what IT is.....noone can choose what you should do for you - YOU choose!! This is all about YOU - do what makes you happy, what makes you feel vibrant and alive, what makes your heart sing.....only you can decide.....if what you're doing right now - whether it be work, food, friends, spouse, etc....isn't making those statements above ring true for you - make 1 step to change it to a direction that does.....

***Steps off Soap Box*** lol

Okay, now that we got that out in the open....

I've been pretty busy making stuff & getting stuff done - Yay!!

I post daily on the 30 Day Challenge Thread - including food pictures!!!

If you have thought about joining the thread, but were unsure - I'm here to tell you - "Jump right in!!".....just post the Raw foods you ARE eating/drinking & join the party!!

Today I made some kale chips (the teriyaki ones on this site from Rawknitster - love you girl!!) .....lol - they are all gone....yup, a whole head of kale....I didn't even let them crisp up too much....I kind of prefer them soggy....lol

I bottled up my 3 1/2 gallons of homemade kombucha - Yay!!

I love my kombucha, really truly do.....**insert big heart here**

I need to make a quick batch of rawritos for my BF - he LOVES them.....I used to, but now I think they are a bit too heavy for my liking.....I much prefer the corn chips & their "lightness"....

I made Ani Phyo's Sunburgers & Black Sesame Sunflower Bread (see a pic on page 13, or 14 in the 30 Day Challenge thread).....they were good, though I dehydrated the burgers longer, so they were more solid in the center.....

I would really like to make something with chocolate.....I NEED to make something with chocolate!!! lol

Today was my "Sunday weigh in" day....it came out a draw - nothing released, nothing gained.....I think it may be a combination of things....it's "girl time" ...and I had a non-raw meal on Valentines Day with my BF....

Today is Day 23 Raw for me with the exception of that one Valentines meal...so, I'm pretty happy with that!

I'm getting my motivation back which pleases me GREATLY!!

I just keep going & going & going.....

Mornings are still a little rough for me getting up....it's cold & dark....snuggling under the blankets seems like a much better idea....lol

Well, this is a super long entry & I think I have said everything that I needed to....oh! Except that we are having a blizzard right now!!
This makes me really sad....this morning I could see my grass, because we had a beautiful week of weather - even 50 degrees!!

By 11am this morning it started snowing....and snowing...and snowing some more......blahhhh

It's 28 degrees out & now there's probably about 6" of snow covering everything....again...lol...gotta love WI.....we are supposed to get about 8 - 12" & have winds 25-35mph.....

Looks like I'll get my exercise in by shoveling!!

Hope the weather is nicer wherever you are!!!

(((Hugs))) to all of you~monk~

Um, don't read my latest blog entry. It's about my weather and it IS much nicer than yours!:)

I'm a native Southern Californian, but I lived in Chicago for 5 years in the 1990's. I never shoveled snow until then. I never understood how hard and sometimes futile it was! Sure, it was fun the first year, because I was new to it, but by the second year, the charm had worn off! Still, there are memories of snowy landscapes I will remember always. So grateful for that time in my life.

Have fun snow shoveling and I'm glad you have a cosy place and good food to keep you going!

Wow.. snow. I keep forgetting that not everyone hits spring in February!

I love your post and I love the way you write. Your 'tone' shines through and it's so much fun to read it. It's like having a bubbly friend to chat with over .. uh.. tea. :)

Monk, I love those burgers! Nothing can touch Alissa carrot/pecan, but Ani Phyos run a very close second! Excellent work encouraging us all with recipes...yummmmm!
Yes, we are experiencing similar weather patterns and I must say, "I'm tired of winter! It can leave now!" Agh! I'm feeling your pain! :P
