ooOooOH! look at the busy happy faces!
Today is Day 1! Today is a different 'Day 1' than my usual stops and starts. All of last year pretty well, I tried very hard to become an 80% rv'er. Today I am returning to 100% land...and have no qualms about it. (ok, well let's say 95% right now because I would never care about stuff like spices, or maple syrup instead of honey, or maybe even all natural peanut butter instead of almond butter or other nuts which may/may not be 'really' raw. ) ...but all my meals would be raw, just might use some ingredients that might not be considered raw, like many of us do.
80% is too hard...lol. For me anyway, it's easier to just go for it. Like a smoker trying to cut back to just a couple a day, lol. Pluuuus, my health could really use all the boost it could get ;)
Today I had
Breakfast: a banana, few bites of mango, a banana-almond butter-honey-cinnamon bowl.
Lunch: Cucumber sliced with lime juice, salt and pepper. Also crackers, avocado and tomato.
Supper: zucchini noodles with marinara sauce.
Dessert: 2 fuji apples with cinnamon.
...It was a good day, I only had one moment where I thought the whole thing was crazy...but it passed. This reminds me of quitting smoking sometimes...instead of a 'nic fit', have 'cooked fit'. It passes! This one passed pretty quickly..guess my thoughts are on par...that's what I mean with being all raw easier, if I was 80% I would've had this big conversation in my head about eating cooked or not and then think of all the cooked things I could eat...it's hard! In fact, I want to stop talking about it right now, lol.
I need to find a better marinara recipe. I have tried a few but this time I am on the hunt for one without the sundried tomatoes...I don't care if I have to dehydrate the sauce overnight to get the right texture, I don't want to get it from SDT.
