Daily Journal for 100 Day Challenge
Yesterday I decided to join the 100 day challenge. I have been on and off raw all summer. I keep using camping trip and big get togethers as excuses not eat cooked food again and then I just feel awful al over again.
Last night was pretty difficult for me. I went to my parents house and they had made vegetarian chili and homemade garlic bread (my mom makes the most delicious bread!). And to add insult to injury they put grated cheese on top! I wanted to yank the fork out of someones hand and start mowing down but I didn't. They didn't have much in the way of produce so I just ate a handful of blueberries, some celery, two oranges and a handful of walnuts. My plate was definitely the most colorful! Anyways, after dinner I was glad I held off. Each and every one of them held their stomach and talked about being too full. My boyfriend even went into the spare bedroom and had a lie down! And I of course felt just fine.
I know I will probably be going through some sort of a detox, but for now I feel pretty good. I made some banana ice cream last night that was pretty delicious. I think I'm going to make some with strawberries in it tonight. My breakfast today consists of pineapple, apple, and some strawberries. I might dip into that ice cream again as well!
