day 4

Rate this Entry
ok, day 4 for me. Yippie!!

Yesterday I started with a glass of water with lemon. Then I finally decided to go to Whole Foods and spent a fortune! I spent about $80. I was hungry so while I was there I got a plate of all raw stuff and sat at a table and ate while reading some of a raw book I found there. It was great. I hurt to spend $8 for a lunch plate but It feels like I am doing the right thing.

Last night's dinner was a salad. In it was everything I bought from there. I bought some goji berries. Never heard of them before..lol I don't know what they are but they were sweet. I added some alfalfa sprouts, some cashews, some pumpkin seeds, some avacado, onions, cucumbers, carrots, onions, parsley, cilantro, sesame seeds and flax seeds. It was a huge salad, I filled a big bowl, made one for my dh and as for my bowl...lol.. I ate all of it. There was just a small bowl left but I was actually too full. For desert I had some black berries with grapes and cashew butter with almonds and cashews grapes and aguave syrup. I am making weird combinations so that I won't get bored. I hope it works! My problem is needing quantities to be satisfied. I hope this changes as time goes by.

I don't know that I can afford to eat like this all the time. I don't know what I'll do but I don't want to go back.
So far today I have had a glass of water with lemon... the rest of the salad from last night...I now feel hungry so I need to go and see what I can come up with...I am feeling anxious. I feel my energy is missing. I haven't taken my thyroid medication in awhile. I am out of it and don't have a job.

Hi! What helps me out is Alissa's delicious flax crackers! I eat them when I'm really hungry with some almond butter, raw honey, and slices of banana. YUMMY and FILLING! If no dehydrator, Whole Foods have Tomato Basil YaYa's Raw Rah's which are great! It's cheaper to make your own, though. Also, try a yummy Pate and eat that on a Romaine Leaf with sprouts and tomato. You can also use them to build a sandwich with Avacado, Tomato, and Onion. It's great for a quick fix. Hope this helps!

Spicy taco recipe from the RFT food thread! Really delicious and you can also do a lettuce wrap with those too! I munch on the spicy taco meat all day and use a carrot to scoop it up. Delish! (and it's inexpensive to make!);)

Forgive me if you've mentioned it b4 - but do you have Alissa's book? If not -SERIOUSLY consider purchasing it. It was the BEST thing I did for myself - the book is filled with wonderful inexpensive recipes and some fancy ones too! ;) Lots of yummy snaks!!
