yay...I am sooo loving this diet. I love preparing the foods, sharing them, and eating them. I had carrot cake for breakfast..fantastic. What other diet lets you eat carrot cake for breakfast, and it is 100% healthy for you?

....one of my patients was talking about making a cherry pie yesterday for her husband's birthday, and the fact that the crust contains so much lard!!! wow. I have no idea how to start introducing raw to my patients. I guess I need to write up an info sheet, and include it with my new patient packets...that includes info on acupuncture and herbs. That way, it will get a lot of their questions answered right away...like the protien issue, and the fruit for diabetics issue, etc.

I had a bit of cramping pain this am with bm....imagine it is detox, but decided to add warm lime and ginger water to my morning routine, and possibily right before bed to help with digestion. It is used a lot in ayurvedic medicine to tonify digestion. It felt good to drink this am, and i've not had any pain since, even with 2 more bm's.

today I have salad with raw hummus, marinated greens, strawberries, banana and 1/2 yellow pepper with hummus for lunch...that should tide me through the day.

got to go....love to all you rawkers....

I've found that a great way to introduce raw to folks at work is to bring a raw dessert for all to share. I've made a cherry pie with cashew cream that would rival any cooked version, hands down!!! By the way, isn't it great that we can eat cake for breakfast!?! Well, I can't now cuz I'm juice feasting, but you get what I mean.
