May 6th, 2007 - Wow! Have I only been doing this for 3-1/2 days before today? Amazing! It feels like it has been much longer. Again, I am down another pound today! Woot! 177.5 this morning! Amazing! Though, this morning I slept longer...till just before 8am, and I went to sleep earlier, too. Hmmm...also, I woke up feeling groggy and puffy eyed, again. I wonder why? The only thing I can think of that I did differently yesterday is I drank two big mugs of Mate. Which I am drinking again as I write this. I know it's not "raw" (I boil the water in the tea kettle and pour it through a strainer over the crushed leaves) but I am not drinking coffee or diet soda or alcohol (a daily glass of wine or two with dinner has been a ritual of ours) and I pretty much eliminated caffeine from my diet years ago, with the exception of a caffeinated diet coke or pepsi occassionally when I am out and about and the caffeine-free is not available. I am wondering if this has anything to do with the "detox" process? But then, I feel the same "cruddiness" I felt before going raw. So I am a little perplexed. I don't feel "horrid!" just not as good as I felt the past two days. Also, I noticed a headache last night when I was going to bed, right in the front of my forehead...like, where the third eye is located. I also had more of a tendency to feel anxious and my body CRAVING the fear drug that accompanies panic attacks. I know it is a matter of not allowing myself to think in a way that takes me down that path, but I haven't been having this problem the last few days. Interesting...

Ok, so, I didn't do a very good job of journaling my diet yesterday, so I will try to do that here and then start my today's record -

Yesterday (after breakfast) -
Snack-
2 stalks of celery stuffed with fresh ground peanut butter (could this be the culprit? The roasted peanuts? Hmmm...) and sprinkled with raisins

Lunch -

Guacamole Salad:
Same recipe as before but this time with WAY less cilantro and onion

Snack -

Several chunks of fresh pineaple
1 medium tangelo

Dinner -

Large plate of spinach salad with red bell pepper slices, cucumber slices and fresh garlic topped with plenty of Paul Newman original oil and vinegar dressing. (Hmmm...hadn't had this on the diet before now, either, but I checked the lable and thought it looked ok.)

Snack -

2 or 3 handfuls of raw cashews

Today -

Breakfast -

So far I have only had 1 banana and I am sipping a big mug of warm Mate tea

    Detox Baby!! Detox!!

    Embrace it and allow it to pass through your system. The detox can show up here and there for weeks even months. It may be uncomfortable - but in the long run - it's part of why we end up Glowing B/C the poisons and toxins are leaving us - then
    there we are filled with light, life and love RAWSOME!! (and congrats on another lb gone! Woot-Woot!!)
